Applications are now open for an 8-week back end web development boot camp taking place Saturdays in downtown Tulsa this summer! The boot camp will run from 9am-1pm for 8 consecutive weeks beginning June 24 and ending August 12.

What curriculum is covered? And for what cost?

This introductory boot camp will cover back end web development using JavaScript, as well as technologies like Node, Mongo, and Express to build simple applications that communicate with servers and databases.  The class is intended for beginners with little development experience who are interested in getting their feet wet with web development. The boot camp will be a mix of lecture and project-based learning. The cost to participate is $395.

Are there any prerequisites?

This boot camp is intended for beginners and early stage programmers, but experienced developers are welcome as well! You are not required to have any previous coding training in order to apply. Previous experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is helpful but not required. For true beginners, we highly recommend starting to learn some HTML, CSS, and JavaScript on your own as pre-work for the class. Check out the book Eloquent JavaScript and the Codecademy lessons on HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to get started.

Who’s teaching this boot camp?

Our summer 2017 Tulsa instructor is Sergei Golimbievsky. Sergei is the Co-Founder and CTO of Hire360 and is a returning back end instructor for OK Coders in Tulsa.

How do I sign up?

Applications are at okcoders.com/apply and close at 11:59pm on Friday, June 16. We have a limited number of seats, so sign up soon to reserve your spot! Shoot us an email if you have any questions about the applications or the curriculum.
